Position Responsibilities

Qualifications
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license that authorizes practice in South Carolina.
Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing education program.
Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN as required for RN licensure.
Candidates licensed in another state may be eligible to practice in South Carolina through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) if they hold a qualifying multistate license.
Candidates who do not qualify for multistate practice must obtain the appropriate South Carolina RN license or temporary license before beginning orientation or practicing as an RN in South Carolina. South Carolina considers orientation to be the practice of nursing.
Current license must be in good standing and free of restrictions that would prevent practice.
Current BLS certification from an accepted provider.
Additional certifications may be required based on the facility, patient population, or specific unit.
Medical-Surgical nursing experience is preferred; qualified RNs with other relevant acute-care experience may also be considered.

Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides assessment, intervention, and consultation services to students with communication disorders that may impact educational performance.
